Barbara Hastings-Asatourian

Helen and Barbara have known each other for many years; and Barbara has sold Helen’s books since she first published, back in 1995.

Barbara qualified in nursing midwifery and health visiting before entering higher education as a Senior Lecturer in Public Health. She retired from this role in 2013, but has agreed to be involved with Sexplained Training.

Since retiring from academia Barbara developed and authored several unique sex education materials and provided sexual health information and resources such as Contraception the Board Game, Contraception the Computer Game and Safer Sex:An Interactive Learning Resource on Video and DVD. Barbara raised funds for her projects retailing health education materials on http://www.contraceptioneducation.co.uk/store. She has just passed this side of the business over to her daughter Sara

Barbara now works for herself as a Yoga Teacher at ‘Yoga with Barbara’, and in the voluntary sector as a trustee for the UK Charities Siam Care UK, a trustee at The Zinthiya Trust and a volunteer for the Prince’s Trust.

She is happily involved with Sexplained Training, too.
